Chloe Kelly heads home dramatic late winner
England have won the UEFA Women's EURO 2022, beating Germany 2-1 after extra-time at Wembley Stadium.
Substitute Chloe Kelly scored the winning goal in the 110th minute, heading home from close range after a scramble in the German penalty area.
It was a cruel blow for Germany, who had taken the lead through Lina Magull in the 73rd minute, only for Ella Toone to equalize for England just three minutes later.
The victory is England's first major tournament win since 1966, and it is the first time that the Women's EURO has been won by a host nation.
The tournament was a huge success, with record attendances and TV audiences. It is hoped that the tournament will inspire a new generation of women and girls to play football.
